There is so much to pray for when it comes to the persecuted church.  So many have given their lives for their faith and leave behind their hurting families.  Let’s join together to pray for these dear brothers and sisters.

We must pray for all those who are not free to openly express their faith. Often we have little idea of the suffering our fellow Christiens experience for their faith.

We should also thank god for the freedom we enjoy, and we should ask Him to help us to use that freedom for good and never to abuse that freedom.

But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.  Matthew 10:19 & 20

Let’s also pray that our persecuted brothers & sisters do not have a spirit of fear, but that God would be glorified through them; that their persecutors might see God at work & repent.

My prayer is that God would be especially real to these brothers and sisters in these dangerous environments, and that His Holy Spirit will comfort and encourage them with His presence.  I also pray that every practical need as well as protective need would be met.

We in this country may have to endure jibes and the occasional insult because of our religion. We can only imagine what our brothers and sisters have to endure in other countries. These are the true, steadfast folk that we should support.

I will certainly agree with this.  There are few hotbeds of unimaginable danger for Christians in certain
regions of the world.  Those missionaries and other workers could certainly use many prayers.
